Jakarta, Layar.id – Academy Award merilis daftar Daftar Pendek Oscar ke-94 yang akan diadakan pada 27 Maret 2022 nanti. Daftar ini berisikan para pre-nominasi dari 10 kategori yang ada.
Kesepuluh kategori itu antara lain Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, International Feature, Live Action Short, Animated Short, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Original Song, Sound, dan Visual Effects. Masih belum diketahui mana film-film yang akan resmi mendapatkan nominasi karena akan resmi diumumkan pada 8 Februari nanti.
Seperti biasa, ada beberapa film yang berhasil mendapatkan pre-nominasi lebih dari satu. No Time to Die, film terbaru James Bond dan yang terakhir untuk Daniel Craig, berhasil muncul dalam list sebanyak 5 kali. Kelima kategori itu antara lain Makeup and Hairstyling, Music, Sound, Visual effect, dan Original Score.
Di belakang No Time to Die adalah Dune yang muncul di 4 kategori. Film sci-fi remake dari Denis Villeneuve ini muncul di Makeup and Hairstyling, Sound, Visual effect, dan Original Score. The Power of the Dog sendiri, film karya sutradara Jane Campion yang dibintangi Benedict Cumberbatch, juga mendapatkan 2 pre-nominasi. Selain Original Score, ada pula kategori Sound.
Hal ini sama seperti Spider-Man: No Way Home yang baru tayang 17 Desember kemarin. Film superhero terbaru Marvel ini mendapatkan slot di kategori Sound dan Visual Effect. Film lain yang juga mendapatkan 2 slot pre-nominasi adalah film terbaru Matrix, The Matrix Resurrections. Film yang mulai tayang pada hari ini, 22 Desember ini sudah menyematkan namanya di kategori Sound dan Visual Effects.

Penyanyi Billie Eilish menyematkan namanya di daftar pendek Oscar tahun depan untuk 2 proyek berbeda. Satu adalah dokumenter tentang dirinya yang berjudul “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” di Documentary Feature, dan satu lagi adalah lagunya yang berjudul “No Time to Die” di film James Bond terbaru.
Eilish akan bersaing ketat di kedua kategori ini. Di Documentary Feature, ada film Summer of Soul yang mengangkatkan konser Harlem 1969. Sedangkan di kategori Original Song, ia harus bersaing dengan Brian Wilson, Beyonce, Carole King, dan Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Di sisi lain, Hans Zimmer dan Jonny Greenwood juga menyematkan namanya dua kali. Bedanya, keduanya masing-masing mengambil 2 slot di satu kategori yang sama, yaitu Original Score. Hans Zimmer membuat lagu di Dune dan No Time to Die, sedangkan Jonny Greenwood di The Power of the Dog dan Spencer.
Pihak lain yang mendominasi daftar pendek ini adalah Netflix. Perusahaan streaming raksasa ini berhasil masuk ke 16 slot dalam daftar dengan 13 filmnya. Terdiri dari 3 slot di Original Song, 3 di Original Score, 2 di International Feature, 2 di Sounds, 1 di Documentary Feature, 1 di Animation Short, dan 4 di Documentary Short.
